Serial Box Announces New Audio Stories for Batman and Wonder Woman

It appears that the partnership between Serial Box and comic-book source material is growing strong. Now, according to Variety, the reading platform will debut a couple of brand new serialized audio dramas for Batman as well as Wonder Woman. The stories will debut next year and, while the company has yet to announce the price of single episodes, they will cost $9.99 for the full seasons.

“We are honored to be entrusted with developing original stories for Batman and Wonder Woman, characters with rich histories and strong fan allegiance,” said Molly Barton, Serial Box co-founder, and CEO. Furthermore, “our talented writing teams have crafted thrilling new adventures linked to character origins and relevant to our challenging times.”

According to the official description, the Batman: The Blind Cut story follows “the Caped Crusader and Zatanna as they join forces against a terrifying adversary who enacts a bold plan to bring Gotham City to its knees.” Catherynne Valente leads the writing team composed of K Arsenault Rivera and Martin Cahill.

The Wonder Woman: Heartless story pits Diana Prince, Crimson Avenger and British archeologist Dr. Barbara Minerva (a.k.a. Cheetah) “against two sisters — one a serial killer who is terrorizing Washington, D.C., by magically seizing the hearts of her victims, and the other whose powers might potentially be used to stop the killing streak.” The writing team includes Natalie C. Parker, Tessa Gratton, Alaya Dawn Johnson, and Heidi Heilig.

The new Batman and Wonder Woman stories will premiere on Serial Box in the spring of 2021. Fans can also preorder the stories on Serial Box’s official pages.
