Wonder Woman has appeared in numerous video games, but she’s never had her own game until now. At The Game Awards, Warner Bros. Games and Monolith Productions announced that a new open-world Wonder Woman game is in development. While no gameplay footage was included, the short announcement video features a few shots of Diana of Themyscira as her mother, Queen Hypolita, warns her of a new threat. She also tells Diana to “unite old enemies, forge new bonds,” and that she “can be a leader.”
Making alliances and enemies will be a key part of the game, since it uses Monolith’s Nemesis System. According to Monolith, “gamers will forge deep connections with both enemies and allies as they progress from a heroic fighter into a proven leader.”

Monolith is best known for producing two terrific open-world games: Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, and its sequel, Middle-earth: Shadow of War. Presumably the gameplay of Wonder Woman will be similar to those titles. The teaser didn’t specify any locations beyond Diana’s home, Themyscira. However, Monolith has indicated that Wonder Woman must “fight to unite her Amazon family and the humans from the modern world.”
Presumably Wonder Woman will be available on Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and PC.
