Exclusive Preview: Thor #17

It’s good to be the king…except if you’re the All-Father of Asgard. Thor’s reign over the golden realm hasn’t been the retirement that he hoped for. Although the Son of Odin is more powerful than ever, he has also been haunted by the fact that he can barely lift his own hammer, Mjolnir. Paradoxically, even the unworthy can now lift Mjolnir and claim the power of Thor for themselves.

Seeking answers for his plight, Thor has reunited with his estranged father, Odin. And they’ve also rekindled some old father and son rivalries as well. However, their conflict is now on hold, thanks to the arrival of Odin’s ex-wife, Freyja, and Thor’s sister, Angela.

In Superhero Hype’s exclusive preview for Thor #17, writer Donny Cates and artist Michele Bandini pick up with the reunited family in the middle of a hunt. Unfortunately, they’re the ones being hunted by a deadly bread of beast that has the ability to kill gods.
