We’ve heard plenty of talk surrounding Batman Unburied, the new podcast from Spotify to kick off their deal with DC. Finally, today, we know when it’s going to be audible for all. Via The Hollywood Reporter, it’s set to debut May 3rd. In this audio adventure, Black Panther‘s Winston Duke will voice Batman. Duke heads up a powerhouse roster of colorblind casting that also features Hasan Minhaj as The Riddler, Jason Isaacs as Alfred, Gina Rodriguez as Barbara Gordon, Lance Reddick as Thomas Wayne, Toks Olagundoye as Martha Wayne, John Rhys-Davies as Dr. Hunter and Ashly Burch as Vicki Vale.
Alternate versions will be created for Brazil, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, and Mexico, with different, local casts for each market. David S. Goyer, known for writing Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy and Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, wrote and produced. The story involves Bruce Wayne working as a forensic pathologist, investigating the actions of a new villain called the Harvester.
