If you haven’t been keeping up with Venom in the comics, then there have been a few changes since The King In Black. Eddie Brock is no longer joined with the Venom symbiote. Instead, Eddie’s son, Dylan Brock, is the new Venom, while Eddie was “retired” to run the symbiotic hive. However, Eddie’s old foes, the Life Foundation, have returned, and they’ve already struck at the heart of the Brock family. Now, Eddie is dead and Dylan/Venom is on the run. Additionally, the Life Foundation is trying to force Venom to evolve with the help of a creature called Meridius. Venom #7.
In Superhero Hype’s exclusive preview for Venom #7, writer Ram V. and artist Bryan Hitch drop us in the middle of a fight between Venom and some bikers. Without Eddie’s influence, Dylan is rapidly losing his ability to control the symbiote. Dylan isn’t aware that his father’s consciousness is alive somewhere in time. But right now, he has bigger problems. Meridius has sent another symbiote after Venom, and its name is Bedlam!

And without Eddie’s guidance, Dylan stands poised to give into the same darkness his father did…”
