What is Giant Robot Hellboy about?
Giant Robot Hellboy is written by Mignola, illustrated by Duncan Fegredo, colored by Dave Stewart, and lettered by Clem Robins. The three-issue limited series is “[i]nspired by Mignola’s viral-hit pencil drawings from Mike Mignola: The Quarantine Sketchbook.”
Giant Robot Hellboy #1 launched last Wednesday, October 25. In the debut issue, Hellboy is “kidnapped and hooked up to a massive mecha-Hellboy for a mission on a mysterious, faraway island.” Issue #2 hits shelves on November 22. In the upcoming second chapter, “Hellboy’s robotic counterpart battles giant monsters on a faraway island. Meanwhile, “the scientists running the mission scramble when things at the lab get more than a little out of hand.”
This sets the stage for December’s Giant Robot Hellboy #3. In the series finale, “Giant Robot Hellboy goes rogue, leaving both the island and the laboratory in explosive chaos!”
Giant Robot Hellboy #3 goes on sale Wednesday, December 27 from Dark Horse Comics. The issue features a main cover by Fegredo
