Marvel Comics and 20th Century Studios have announced Predator: The Last Hunt, the next chapter in writer Ed Brisson‘s Predator saga.
Predator: The Last Hunt launches in February 2024. The four-issue limited series teams Brisson with artist Francesco Manna. Brisson previously joined forces with Kev Walker for the six-issue series Predator: Day of the Hunter in 2022 — and with Netho Diaz for the five-issue series Predator: The Preserve earlier this year. Brisson’s Predator comics center on an original character by the name of Theta, who seeks to avenge her parents by hunting down the infamous Predators. Marvel promises that The Last hunt “takes [Theta] to dark new depths of Yautja brutality.”

What to expect from Predator: The Last Hunt
An official synopsis for The Last Hunt reads as follows: “For years, Theta has hunted and killed Predators in her search for the one that killed her parents. Now, she’s on a mission to free the human captives from the Predators’ game preserve. But when a Super Predator is on the loose, even a seasoned hunter like Theta can become prey…”
“I’m incredibly excited to be continuing my work on PREDATOR,” Brisson said of the new series. “This is a book I love dearly. I’m proud of the work we’ve done in the past two volumes and think readers will be excited to see where we’re headed in this third volume. The stakes are higher than they’ve ever been.”
The writer added that “Theta has been carrying a lot of guilt over the events of the last arc and has made it her mission to find the Predator Stasis Farms and free the hundreds (thousands?) of prisoners being held for the Predators’s hunting pleasure — at the same time, her 20 plus years of Predator hunting is all coming to a head as she suddenly finds herself in the crosshairs as it becomes clear that her mission may be a trap.”
Brisson is also excited to re-team with Manna, whom he previously collaborated with on Marvel‘s Old Man Logan in 2018. “…I’ve been looking for any excuse to work with him ever since,” Brisson said. “He’s been absolutely knocking it out of the park.”
Predator: The Last Hunt #1 goes on sale February 21, 2024 from Marvel Comics and 20th Century Studios.
