What is Resurrection of Magneto about?
Resurrection of Magneto hails from writer Al Ewing and artist Luciano Vecchio. As its title implies, the four-issue limited series sees Magneto rise from the grave following his demise in 2022’s X-Men: Red # 7. Resurrection of Magneto is one of multiple limited series set to spin out of Fall of the House of X and Rise of the Powers of X — which will depict the X-Men‘s final battle for Krakoa.
“On Krakoa, resurrection from the dead was as easy as completing a circuit — but Krakoa fell,” the official synopsis for Resurrection of Magneto #1 reads. “The time of easy miracles is over, and only the hard roads are left. Now it falls to Storm — as the epic conclusion to the Krakoan age looms — to bring their oldest enemy home to fight against the FALL OF THE HOUSE OF X … but after all he did, and all that was done to him, can Magneto bear to return?”
Meanwhile, the synopsis for February’s issue #2 reads as follows: “In the depths, Magneto was given a key by strange forces — and impossibly, he holds it still. Now, in death, Max Eisenhardt judges his own life — and counts the cost. Should he return to the world? Can he allow Storm to bring him back? And what does the Deep Key unlock?”
Resurrection of Magneto #1 goes on sale January 24, 2024 from Marvel Comics. The issue features a main cover by Stefano Caselli.
