Captain Ginger: The Last Feeder #2 Preview Teases a Far-Out Feline Finale

AHOY Comics has released a preview for the second and final issue of Captain Ginger: The Last Feeder — which celebrates the fifth anniversary of Stuart Moore and June Brigman’s feline-centric sci-fi saga.

Captain Ginger: The Last Feeder #2 hits comic shops next Wednesday. The issue is written by Moore, illustrated by Brigman alongside Roy Richardson, and features a cover by Brigman. “The action-packed conclusion! Under assault from all sides, Captain Ginger must choose between his father and the fate of his starship crew. But there’s a wild card in the deck: the mysterious Fourth People,” an official synopsis reads. The issue also features a new chapter of AHOY’s anniversary prose serial, “Partially Naked Came the Corpse.”

Captain Ginger turns 5

Created by Moore and Brigman, Captain Ginger originally launched at AHOY in October 2018. The original four-issue limited series centers on the titular Captain Ginger, who leads an intelligent race of space-faring cats in a future where humanity has died out. Captain Ginger returned for a second, six-issue series — dubbed “Season Two” — in 2020.

The Last Feeder launched last month as a celebratory two-issue limited series. In this new story, Captain Ginger and company “find themselves scattered across a thousand light-years, facing the twin mysteries of the Captain’s long-missing father — and the final fate of the human race.”

Captain Ginger: The Last Feeder #2 goes on sale Wednesday, December 13 from AHOY Comics.
