Marvel Comics has released a first-look preview for Marvel’s Voices: Legends #1, which arrives early next year in honor of Black History Month.
Marvel’s Voices: Legends #1 unites an all-star roster of creators for a collection of stories starring some of the House of Ideas’ most iconic Black characters. The anthology one-shot features a main cover by Caanan White, as well as variant covers by Edwin Galmon, Sean Damien Hill, and Mateus Manhanini.
At this time, Marvel has shared one unlettered page each from “Deathlok the Demolished” by Ezra Claytan Daniels, Hill, Oren Junior, and Espen Grundetjern; “The World Is Not Ready” by Sheree Renée Thomas, Julian Shaw, and Carlos Lopez; “Powers for the People” by David F. Walker, Eder Messias, Jonas Trindade, and Andrew Dalhouse; and “Do You Remember When?” by Justina Ireland, Karen Darboe, and Lopez. The publisher as also revealed synopses for each story.

Legend’s marks the next chapter of Marvel’s Voices
The Marvel’s Voices line of comics seeks to celebrate the diversity of the Marvel Universe — and the creators who have helped shape it. According to the publisher itself, “these critically acclaimed stories uplift and inspire by showing that fans from all walks of life have a place in the mighty Marvel mythos!”
In addition to the new anthology one-shot launching in late January, Marvel will celebrate Black History Month with a collection of special variant covers shipping throughout the month of February.
