Robert Kirkman and Jason Howard’s middle-grade comic book series Super Dinosaur is getting a compendium edition in 2024.
Skybound Entertainment and Image Comics have announced that Super Dinosaur Compendium One is heading to bookstores on July 9, 2024. It will then be available in comic book shops on July 10, 2024. Published under the Skybound Comet imprint, the book collects Super Dinosaur #1-23 and Super Dinosaur Origin Special #1 — meaning the entire series will be available as one volume for the first time ever.

What is Super Dinosaur about?
Written by Kirkman and illustrated by Howard, Super Dinosaur originally launched in 2011. The series ran for 24 issues (including the Origin Special) through 2015. An animated adaptation produced by toy company Spin Master premiered on Teletoon and Prime Video in 2018. It ran for a single 26-episode season through early 2019.
An official synopsis for the upcoming compendium edition comic reads as follows: “The Evil Max Maximus wants to get to Inner-Earth! He wants the dinosaurs that live there! He wants the powerful DynOre mineral that originates there! SUPER DINOSAUR and DEREK DYNAMO are the only ones who can stop him! The fate of the world rests on the shoulders of a ten-year-old kid and his best friend, a nine-foot-tall Tyrannosaurus Rex who loves to play video games.”

Super Dinosaur Compendium One goes on sale in July 2024 from Image Comics.
