What is Figgy Furthermore – The Spirit Guide Dog about?
“At the heart of this enchanting narrative stands Figgy Furthermore, a spirited canine soul who, in a twist of fate, found himself lingering in the spectral realm. However, Figgy was no ordinary ghost dog; he was a guardian spirit, bound by an unbreakable devotion to his living companion, the strong-willed and often downright naughty, 6-year-old Howzie Doowit,” an official synopsis for Stephens’ new Gold Key title reads.
“From thwarting mischievous spirits that aim to play tricks on the unsuspecting boy, too [sic] navigating through the spectral landscapes of the afterlife, Figgy Furthermore faces challenges that transcend the boundaries of both the living and the dead,” it concludes.
In addition to his comic book work, Stephens is known for his animated projects. He created the Discovery Kids animated series Tutenstein, as well as the Cartoon Network series The Secret Saturdays. He also created JetCat, a series of animated shorts that aired as part of Nickelodeon’s KaBlam! anthology.
The Kickstarter campaign for Figgy Furthermore – The Spirit Guide Dog launches on Monday, February 12.
