This spring, the X-Men‘s final battle for Krakoa reaches a fever pitch as Earth’s Mightiest Heroes get involved. Marvel Comics has detailed the Fall of the House of X and Rise of the Powers of X tie-in books hitting stands in April.
At this time, Marvel has shared the official cover art and synopses for Avengers #12, X-Men #33, Invincible Iron Man #17, Resurrection of Magneto #4, Wolverine #47, Avengers #13, Dead X-Men #4, Cable #3, Wolverine #48, and X-Men: Forever #2. Resurrection of Magneto, Dead X-Men, Cable, and X-Men: Forever are all four-issue Fall of the House of X tie-in limited series. Avengers #12 and #13, X-Men #33, and Invincible Iron Man #17 tie directly into the mutant-centric event as well. Meanwhile, Wolverine #47 and #48 are both part of the 10-part “Sabretooth War” arc.

After Fall of the House of X, Marvel’s mutants will rise from the ashes
Fall of the House of X and Rise of the Powers of X launched earlier this month and will each run for five issues through May. The dual, interconnected limited series mark the end of the X-Men’s Krakoan Age as Marvel’s premier mutant team makes its last stand against the anti-mutant organization known as Orchis.
Per Marvel, Fall of the House of X “sees a classic lineup of X-Men embark on a daring mission to bring down Orchis for good and restore hope to mutantkind.” Meanwhile, Rise of the Powers of X “takes readers on a sense-shattering journey beyond space and time as an ambitious plan is put in action to prevent the darkest of futures from coming to pass.”
The publisher is also laying the groundwork for the X-Men’s post-Krakoa era, which will officially get underway in July. Readers will get their first glimpse at the upcoming relaunch via a Free Comic Book Day special releasing in May.
