Skybound Entertainment and Image Comics have shared a first look inside the upcoming second issue of Cobra Commander.
Cobra Commander #2 hits comic shops in February from writer Joshua Williamson, artist Andrea Milana, and colorist Annalisa Leoni. The issue features a main cover by Milana and Leoni, as well as variant covers by Ricardo Lopez Ortiz, Chris Burnham, ACO, and Nick Dragotta. At this time, Skybound has shared a number of fully-lettered preview pages — which introduce a brutal version of G.I. Joe‘s Dreadnoks to the Energon Universe.

An official synopsis for Cobra Commander #2 reads as follows: “After the shocking reveal of Megatron in the last issue, Cobra Commander searches for a power greater than any the Earth has ever seen. But when this mission brings him face-to-face with a fan-favorite G.I. JOE faction — will they be friend, foe, or something else entirely?”
Cobra Commander is far from alone in the Energon Universe
Cobra Commander launched earlier this month as the second of four limited series that serve to introduce G.I. Joe characters to Skybound and Image‘s Energon Universe. The first, Duke, launched back in December. In addition to these two titles, the EU is currently made up of fellow Hasbro-licensed series Transformers and the Skybound-original series Void Rivals.
Cobra Commander #2 goes on sale Wednesday, February 21 from Image Comics.
