He has been everything from a champion of justice to a talk show host. He is known throughout the cosmos, yet no one truly knows who he is. Now, Dynamite Entertainment is bringing Space Ghost back in a new action-packed comic series.
Created by legendary artist Alex Toth for Hanna-Barbera, Space Ghost is a man of mystery. Unlike most superheroes, he was never given a background or a secret identity. The new Dynamite series will lean into that, presenting Space Ghost as a figure of legend.
The new series is set on the frontier of deep space, between the boundaries of the Galactic Federation. It is here that pirates, slavers, and other nefarious types ply their dark trades upon the innocent and defenseless. Enter a hero, a cosmic vigilante who delivers justice to those who would prey upon the helpless.

Space Ghost Creative Team And Covers Revealed
Dynamite has assembled a legendary team to bring the space hero to life. The scripting will be handled by award-winning writer David Pepose. He is best known for his work on series such as Moon Knight, Spencer & Locke, and The Punisher. Pepose is joined by artist Jonathan Lau, who has worked on other Dynamite series like Vampirella Strikes and Red Sonja: Age of Chaos.
“I’m so excited to be diving into the world of Space Ghost!” noted Pepose. “When Dynamite first approached me about tackling this series, I was immediately struck by the sheer amount of raw material we had to play with. We’re taking those classic vibes and using them as a starting point to dig even deeper into the characters than the original cartoons.”
The first issue will have multiple variant covers. They will be produced by an all-star team of artists. This includes Francesco Mattina, Jae Lee, Bjorn Barends, and Michael Cho.
Space Ghost #1 arrives in comic shops everywhere in May 2024.
