Superhero Hype’s Best Amazon Game Deals for July 15

Since brick-and-mortar stores mostly seem either closed for the foreseeable future, many fans look to home entertainment more than ever. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, as Jack Torrance reminded everyone repeatedly. Families need to play together, and game suggestions are at hand. Be they video, board, or based on same, our guide wants to aid your fun time. In this ongoing series, Superhero Hype takes a look at some of the better deals Amazon.com has running as of publication time. Please note that all deals are subject to change or sell out at any time based on supply and demand.

Lego Jurassic World – Nintendo Switch

Experience the first four Jurassic movies in brick-built comedic fashion. Explore Isla Nublar and Sorna, creating custom dinosaurs and even playing as them. Unlike the old days, playing with dinosaur chicken nuggets on a dinner plate, there’s no mess left over at the end. Just a fun game at half the original price.

IDW Games Ghostbusters: Blackout Board Game, Multicolor

Up to four players can feel good about bustin’ as they engage in co-op play to “move around the city, capture ghosts, and buy upgrades for their ghost-busting Tech, all while trying to keep the city from collapsing from the ensuing chaos!” The game includes 20+ Ghostbusters-themed custom dice. What’cha gonna roll?

Marvel Gamerverse Spider-Man and Mister Negative Exclusive Action Figure 2 Pack

Marvel doesn’t make a whole lot of 3.75-inch action figures any more, but they made an exception for the recent video game. In the specially designed PlayStation costume, Spider-Man takes on the mysterious Mr. Negative in a scale that works alongside classic Star Wars figures and vehicles. Not that Spidey needs any. He slings webs, any size, and so on. And now he can be posed directly by players’ hands rather than via controller.

Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition – PlayStation 4 Complete Edition

Sure, for hardcore gamers, The Witcher 3 is five year-old news. But for casual gamers who only just discovered the world of The Witcher through Netflix and Henry Cavill, it’s a magical deal. $20 gets you a 100-hour open-world adventure with around 50 hours of additional bonus DLC. That’s not a lot of coin to have to toss to your witcher.

Cyberpunk 2077 – Xbox One

Preorder the much-anticipated open-world adventure set in Night City, and starring Keanu Reeves as a rock star with a robot arm. Seek the key to immortality, while modifying the lead character’s body, style, and skillset. Stickers, postcards, a map, and a game soundtrack are among the included extras. Amazon’s price is $10 below suggested retail.

Batman Arkham Collection (Standard Edition) (PS4)

They’re pretty much the gold standard of Batman games, and now all three can be had in one. Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight combine some of the greatest ever Batman voice actors with some decidedly dark scenarios. Use gadgets, the Batmobile, and detective abilities to take down the likes of Joker, Scarecrow, and the mysterious Arkham Knight.

A Song Of Ice & Fire Miniatures Game

Don’t like the way Game of Thrones ended? Play out the battle for the Iron Throne at home, and see who can come up with a better one. Over 100 miniatures based on original game art and supervised by George R.R. Martin come into play in this game. In the wake of Robert Baratheon’s death, let players control the five great houses of Westeros and see who comes out on top. Now that everyone’s seen the show, it’ll take a better strategy than the old hug-and-stab switcheroo.

K’NEX Mario Kart 8 – Mario Kart Building Set

While LEGO fans wait for the Mario sets coming later in the year, the construction toys from previous license holder K’Nex hit rock-bottom prices. And while K’Nex toys typically feature long beams and connectors, the Mario stuff is all LEGO compatible. Yes, including minifigs that better fit the typical LEGO scale than the electronic Marios en route.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Nintendo Switch

A whole lot of Nintendo fans bought the Switch just for this game. Now that the console finally looks to be coming back to store shelves, it’s time for another round of new players to Link up. In the most open-world Zelda adventure yet, play as Link in any style you like. It’s a whole new Hyrule, for a few fewer Rupees.

Trivial Pursuit Netflix’s Stranger Things Back to The 80s Edition: Adult and Teen Party Board Game

The Stranger Things edition of the classic board game doesn’t just test players’ knowledge of the show. In the spirit of the show, it also tests players’ knowledge of the entire ’80s. But beware the Upside Down. Slipping through the wrong portal makes the board flip over, and valuable trophies won might get taken away. How many answers do you have in the hopper? Crank the game up to eleven, but watch out for nosebleeds.
