Exclusive SHH Video with Ghost Rider Directors Neveldine/Taylor

Taking place years after the earlier Ghost Rider movie, Blaze is now riding around Eastern Europe still plagued by the presence of Zarathos in his life but along comes a gypsy named Nadya (Violante Placido) and her son Danny who are on the run from The Devil (in the guise of Ciaran Hinds) and his mercenary henchman Carrigan (Johnny Whitworth), so Blaze is convinced by a motorcycle-riding monk named Moreau (Idris Elba) to help them.

The resulting movie includes all the action and craziness we’ve come to expect from a Neveldine/Taylor movie transposed into the supernatural world of the Ghost Rider comics.

SuperHeroHype has spoken with Neveldine and Taylor a bunch of times in the past year about Ghost Rider leading up to the release of their movie, and they rarely take these interviews too seriously, so in the video interview below, you can expect many humorous tangents as we spoke with them about:

* What their pitch was to Avi Arad and Sony to get the gig
* Whether Nicolas Cage was already on board when they joined
* Separating this movie from the previous one
* Deciding how much backstory/origin to include
* Having Nic play the Ghost Rider
* Getting the “Crazy Nic Cage” performance that they wanted
* Incorporating CG into the way they work
* Talking about some of the craziest stunts and scenes
* Some silliness and more serious talk about them doing another “Crank” movie

And more!

Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance opens nationwide in 2D and 3D theaters on Friday, February 17. Look for our exclusive interviews with Nicolas Cage and Idris Elba later this week.
