Sider-Man: Far From Home Ending Explained
Starting things off, we have a video from IGN that nicely recaps both of the game-changing post-credits scenes in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Spider-Man: Far From Home – 9 Biggest WTF Questions
Our next video, also from IGN, takes a look a 9 of the Biggest WTF questions after watching the film. Piggybacking off the previous video, this one raises some interesting questions about Spider-Man: Far From Home. Most notably, they explore whether the multiverse in the MCU actually exists. Although Mysterio is indeed lying about the multiverse, the film itself raises questions of its existence that make the answer unclear. Namely, the inclusion of J.K. Simmons’ J. Jonah Jameson means that there might actually be a multiverse, however tangential of a connection it may be.
The video also explores the question marks surrounding Fury and Hill’s disappearance, the reveal of Spider-Man’s secret identity, in addition to the idea that every character in the film thinks Captain America is dead.
Spider-Man: Far From Home Easter Eggs, Callbacks & Cameos
This video, again from IGN, takes a look at the many of the Easter eggs that appear in the film. While it covers some of the more apparent callbacks featured in the movie, there are also lots of little nods to the source material. It includes several allusions to Captain Marvel, the set-up of Sword in addition to the “Project Tahiti” reference. Could this be a set-up for Secret Invasion? Along with little details such as teasing Peter’s Workshop as well as several teases for the sequels, it also ponders the future of Spidey in the MCU.
Spider-Man: Far From Home Set up Kraven’s Last Hunt And No One Noticed
Speaking of potential setups for the third film, this video from Key Issues presents a plausible theory for the direction of the threequel. In essence, it argues that Spider-Man: Far From Home has already set up ‘Kraven’s Last Hunt” for the follow-up. While some fans probably made this connection, it laid the groundwork for Kraven The Hunter and Chameleon. Along with a quick origin of Chameleon, it makes a good argument for why the half-brothers will get their first film interpretations next time around.
While this could be derailed by Sony’s announced solo Kraven film, they open a whole host of possibilities moving forward. Time will tell – but in the meantime, Kraven seems probable since Jon Watts himself wants the character for the sequel.
The Uncertain Future Of Marvel’s MCU or Sony’s Venom-verse
This video from Midnight’s Edge ponders Spidey’s future with the studio. As most of us know, Spider-Man: Far From Home is a Sony film that is produced under the Marvel Banner. Recently, a rumor broke that the latest film might be the last under this pact – unless it grosses $1 billion. Although it will surely pass this milestone, it also raises questions about how long Spidey will continue in the MCU.
Aside from exploring the intricacies of this deal, the video looks at the possibility of an eventual crossover with Venom. Sony’s contractual obligations to keep the character’s rights indeed play a large part in this equation. Finally, the video offers an explanation about why the film’s characters have changed so drastically. Overall, this is a fascinating deep dive into how and why individual decisions are made in the studio system. If you’re looking to learn more about the Sony/Marvel deal, you can find it here.
Mysterio’s Fate & Future
Next, we have another excellent video from Key Issues that considers the future of Mysterio in the MCU. While Mysterio appears to be dead after his battle with Peter in London, it’s hard to believe this. As the so-called Master of Illusion, this is a classic play by Mysterio to make Peter think he’s gone. The video lays out tons of evidence as to how this theory might be valid.
Spider-Man: Far From Home Spoiler Review
Finally, we’ll close things out with a spoiler-filled video review of Spider-Man: Far From Home courtesy of I’M THE LA NERD! Although this video aligns with much of what’s already been said, it does offer a more comic-oriented approach to the end of the film. Either way, this video nicely sums up what a die-hard Spidey fan makes of the latest sequel.
