ShowBiz Data has posted the Friday box office numbers and it looks like Warner Bros.’ “Ocean’s Twelve” pulled in a bit more in one day than New Line’s Blade: Trinity did in three. Of course, the “Blade” sequel is rated R while Ocean’s is PG-13, and both studios are owned by Time Warner.
“Ocean’s Eleven” opened in 3,290 theaters on Friday and earned an estimated $14.7 million, while Blade: Trinity dropped to the second spot with $5.5 million from 2,912 theaters. “Trinity” has collected $14 million since opening Wednesday.
Stay tuned for the weekend box office estimates on Sunday.
