Julian McMahon revealed details about Dr. Doom in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer to DailyBulletin.com:
“Two years have passed for Doom, trapped in this casket,” McMahon says. “Needless to say, he’s not happy.”
He’s also not the only bad guy, competing with the powerful master of energy, the Silver Surfer (Doug Jones, who plays Pan and the Pale Man in “Pan’s Labyrinth”). Doom being Doom, he doesn’t want to play nice. He wants to take the Surfer’s powers.
“Doom hasn’t changed he still wants to rule the world and kill the Fantastic Four,” McMahon says. “He’s a simple man, really. The great thing is, we don’t have to waste any time establishing his character. You get the bad guy from the beginning. It’s great demonic, cartoony stuff.”
The sequel opens in theaters on June 15.
