There’s a new take on the Caped Crusader, as heard in HBO Max’s Batman: The Audio Adventures. The ten-episode scripted podcast has already debuted on HBO Max. However, you don’t need a subscription to check out the first two episodes of the series. HBO Max has released them online via YouTube.
Jeffrey Wright headlines the podcast as Bruce Wayne/Batman, with Melissa Villaseñor as Robin, Alan Tudyk as Alfred, Brent Spiner as the Joker, Rosario Dawson as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Bobby Moynihan as Penguin, Fred Armisen as King Scimitar, and Ike Barinholtz as Two-Face/Harvey Dent.
Here’s the description from HBO Max:
“While Batman prepares to become an official GCPD consultant, Catwoman relieves sword-crazy crime lord King Scimitar of his cash. The dynamic duo confront a mentally deteriorating Two-Face. And the Joker also meets a new recruit…”

Saturday Night Live veteran Dennis McNicholas directed and also executive produced the podcast.
