Wonder Woman Statue by Tweeterhead Comes in Two Sizes

Wonder Woman is a hero for everyone. And now she’s a maquette for every collector — within a certain price range. Tweeterhead, known for their elaborate collectibles, just made a new deal with Sideshow to become their exclusive distributor in the U.S. But that’s only part of the announcement. Starting with their new Wonder Woman maquette, most items will now come in two scales: quarter-scale and one-sixth. For readers who hate mentally calculating fractions, that amounts to six-foot-tall human-sized characters being approximately 18 inches and 12 inches.

Both versions of Wonder Woman go on sale today, and stand atop a flaming statue of Ares. She includes and interchangeable right hand: one grasps a spear, while the other wields a sword. Order the Sideshow exclusive edition, and get an additional hand wielding an axe. (The whole “exclusive distributor” deal is complicated. Sideshow can subsequently distribute to other retailers, but retains the “Sideshow exclusive” on their site only.)

Per Tweeterhead, “The ‘Exclusive Edition’ in 1:6 scale will have a limited Edition Size of 500. ‘Standard Edition’ is TBD. The Edition Size for the ‘Exclusive Edition’ and ‘Standard Edition’ in 1:4 scale is TBD. The Wonder Woman ‘Exclusive Edition’ Maquette will retail for $465 USD in 1:6 Scale and $610 in 1:4 Scale, and both will be ready for preorder exclusively at Sideshow.com, January 27th, at 9 am PDT. Artist Credits:  Dan Ulrich (Design & Sculpt), Jon Rasmussen (Design), David Igo (Design), Tom Jilesen (Design), Guillermo Barbiero (Sculpt), Ariel Mora Remis (Sculpt), Liz Maggie (Paint).”

The sculpt remains the same in both, just at different sizes. Check out a few different angles on the prototype in the gallery below.
