Jurassic World’s Blue Gets an Elaborate Diorama Statue

Now that’s a collectible. Arguably the real star of the Jurassic World trilogy and mom-to-be, Blue the raptor feels tailor-made for merchandising. But no previous toy or statue captured this dino’s environment quite like Iron Studios‘ newest item. Their latest diorama statue shows Blue ready to attack, atop an upturned vehicle. Plants and mud cover the ill-fated transport, as tiny Compys run away to avoid being raptor-meat.

The bulk of the statue consists of polystone. But for anyone wondering about those leaves, the piece also “may contain parts in resin, polystone, PVC, metal and fabric,” per Iron Studios. Like many of the company’s statues, Blue and her base come in 1/10 scale, similar to NECA and McFarlane Toys with humans around 7 inches.

Preorders have begun, for a hefty $499.99, though no release date seems scheduled yet. Size-wise, it measures 9.4 inches high, 18.1 inches wide, and 14.9 inches deep. For anyone on the fence, check out the photo gallery below for closer looks from all sides.

Blue’s next movie, Jurassic World Dominion, opens June 10. The story, centering on the kidnapping of her new baby raptor, will reunite franchise cast members old and new. No doubt Iron Studios will find plenty more statue material for the next round.
