GUNNAR Optiks has become a trusted name in the computer eyewear space and now they’ve teamed up with Marvel. The GUNNAR Optiks Stark Industries Glasses Special Edition allows you to look as fashionable as Tony Stark, while also looking at screens just as often as Iron Man is.

What immediately impressed me about the GUNNAR Optiks Stark Industries glasses was the incredible presentation. It comes in a really sturdy glasses case (seen below) that is emblazoned with the Stark Industries logo. The inside of the case reads, “Powered by Stark,” and there’s a lovely microfiber cleaning cloth and pouch for the glasses that are all emblazoned with Marvel imagery (the pouch even features Tony Stark’s signature). More than just a gimmick, this is a premium product in all facets.
There are a few different lens types you can get for the frame, which is akin to a pair of aviators in its design and is a great mix of comfort and fashion. Prescription glasses are available, as are sunglasses and “GUNNAR-Focus,” which are for indoors use. I wound up getting the “90 Sun” lens tint, which is for digital screen protection outdoors.
Considering my line of work, I wind up looking at screens all day. When at home, that’s typically a laptop and a monitor; while outdoors, I’m constantly looking at my phone and smartwatch as emails need to be returned and work still has to be taken care of. While wearing the GUNNAR Optiks Stark Industries glasses, I noticed a reduction in eye strain, and my eyes weren’t becoming dry as often. Thanks to its fashionable look, I was able to go about my day outside while reducing eyestrain and not worry about getting strange looks as it looks like a pair of great sunglasses.
Since I was using it on the go, the included case, pouch, and cleaning cloth constantly came in handy. While smudges were uncommon thanks to the lens having a resistant coating, they were constantly easy to see out of thanks to the cloth. I always keep them in my car now as they’ve become part of my daily routine.
