The Marvels Make Their Way to Disney’s Avengers Campus

To celebrate the release of Marvel StudiosThe Marvels, Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel, and Monica Rambeau have assembled at Disney‘s Avengers Campus.

For a limited time, the three main heroes of The Marvels will be appearing together at Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park. According to Marvel, “guests may encounter the [trio] as they make a high-spirited entrance.” This marks Monica’s debut as an Avengers Campus character. Kamala herself debuted last year to coincide with the release of her Disney+ original series Ms. Marvel (though she sports an updated suit this time around). Carol, meanwhile, is actually a staple of the park.

On that note, Avengers Campus has a permanent roster of Marvel characters who can be seen year-round. However, Disney often brings in special characters to coincide with the release of new Marvel Cinematic Universe entries. Just last month, the God of Mischief and his new ally O.B. made their way to California Adventure to celebrate the premiere of Loki Season 2 on Disney+.

That being said, the Anaheim park isn’t the only one celebrating the release of The Marvels. In honor of her big-screen debut, Kamala Khan is also making her way to the Avengers Campus at Disneyland Paris for the very first time.

The Marvels is in theaters now

A sequel to 2019’s Captain Marvel, The Marvels opened in theaters on Friday, November 10. Directed and co-written by Nia DaCosta, the film unites Carol (Brie Larson), Kamala (Iman Vellani), and Monica (Teyonah Parris) for a mission to take down Dar-Benn (Zawe Ashton) — a Kree revolutionary who attempts to restore the planet Hala to its former glory by siphoning resources from other worlds (and opens a gateway to another dimension in the process). Complicating matters is the fact that Carol, Kamala, and Monica’s light-based powers have become entangled, causing them to switch places.

The Marvels made $47 million at the domestic box office during its opening weekend. At the time of writing, the film has grossed a total of $110.3 million worldwide. Thus far, the film has been met with mixed-to-positive reviews from critics. It currently holds a “Fresh” rating of 62 percent on Rotten Tomatoes based on 267 professional reviews. The film also holds an audience score of 84 percent.
