Let’s face it: not everyone wants to display their Harley Quinn action figure next to the Joker. She’s attracted to toxic, for sure, but toxic plants are much kinder to her than toxic relationships. Poison Ivy, the newest addition to Mondo‘s Batman: The Animated Series 1:6 line, may never have been fully outed on that show, but these days, we have a better sense of what she thinks of “Harls.” As for Batman, well, he’s still the enemy. So she comes fully equipped to deal with the non-green-thumbed guardian of Gotham.
Pesky Poisoner
Most prominently, she packs a pesticide tank to wear on her back and a spray gun to get that stuff everywhere. Just know that she thinks humans, not plants, are the real pests. Potted plants of various levels of surprise deadliness also lie in wait, along with her poison lipstick and a crossbow. Multiple hands and a bonus dynamic-hair portrait round out the basic version of the figure.
For the more limited timed edition, she includes an extra kissing head, which emphasizes her real deadliest weapons — those lips. There’s also a bonus angry head and two of Ivy’s half-human hybrid children from the episode “House & Garden.”
Pamela Isley here goes on sale today, August 27, at noon central time, with Mondo taking preorders through noon central on September 3. After that, the timed edition will be retired, though a more basic version without the extra heads and babies could return. Poison Ivy is to scale with 12-inch figures, but being a shorter character, she stands 10.75 inches tall.
The timed edition costs $210; the regular version, $195. Shipping is tentatively set for January. There are no additional shipping charges for the U.S., U.K., Canada, and the EU.
