Homelander vs. Omni-Man will soon become a reality for Mortal Kombat 1 players as they get to battle with these two Superman-esque characters in the game. But who among the two is the strongest? Who would win if Homelander and Omni-Man were to fight in the live-action or animated space? Here’s a breakdown of their powers and abilities to see who would win in a fight to the death.
Is Homelander more powerful than Omni-Man?
Even though Homelander possesses a wider range of abilities than Omni-Man, he isn’t stronger than the Viltrumite.
Both Omni-Man and Homelander were inspired by Superman and used as antagonists in their respective universes. Neither of them would hold back in a fight! However, Omni-Man is clearly more powerful than Homelander. While Homelander has other abilities such as heat-vision that Omni-Man doesn’t, he still lacks in other areas.
Nolan Grayson aka Omni-Man is a part of the Viltrumite race, who are known for their extended lifespans. He is vastly experienced having lived for decades or even centuries. Furthermore, the Viltrumite physiology is simply superior to humans (even the ones that have been enhanced by Compound V).
Hence, Omni-Man would prove to be more durable than Homelander, and this was clearly evidenced by his battle against the Guardians of the Globe.
Would Homelander beat Omni-Man in a fight?
No, Homelander would not be able to beat Omni-Man in a fight.
In the above video, Invincible comics writer Robert Kirkman, and illustrators Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley agreed with the fact that Omni-Man would defeat Homelander. Ottley even drew the following outcome of their battle:
Even though Homelander could use his heat vision to his advantage and land a few devastating blows, he is significantly less powerful. With Omni-Man’s durability and quick-healing factor, he could easily take those hits from Homelander and come out on top.
Over three seasons of The Boys, we’ve also witnessed that getting under Homelander’s skin isn’t difficult. With the experience and knowledge that Omni-Man possesses, he could easily manipulate Homelander and dictate the terms of their brawl.
