While every Marvel fan is eagerly waiting for the Avengers 4 trailer, tonight’s Monday Night Football game gave us a new look at Captain Marvel. This film will kick off Marvel’s slate of 2019 movies before leading into the next Avengers sequel. Captain Marvel tells the story of Carol Danvers, an Air Force pilot turned Kree warrior. The film stars Brie Larson as the titular heroine. Joining her are Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson), and Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg), as well as a few other familiar faces.
Captain Marvel‘s new trailer offered a number of new story details. It also showcased new footage teasing a cosmic spectacle. Additionally, it focuses on Nick Fury as he gets information about the Skrulls. Fans who had questions about Carol punching an old woman have them answered as well. The Kree claim to have “found” Carol and remade her into a Kree Warrior. They even call the Kree a race of “noble warrior heroes.” In this footage, Carol teams up with Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D. to find out more information about her past. The story is set in 1995, as Carol finds herself caught in a war between two galactic races with the fate of the Earth at stake.

The trailer also gives fans a better look at the Skrulls, the Kree homeworld, and Jude Law’s character, Yon-Rogg. There’s also a glimpse of Carol’s cat, Goose. Coupled with gorgeous shots of Carol using her powers, Captain Marvel looks like it will be something special.
