Deleted Venom Scene Pits the Symbiote Against a Car Alarm

Sony’s surprise hit Venom will be released on digital download today. It will include over an hour of bonus features, including multiple deleted scenes from the film. Via Heroic Hollywood. Sony has released a one of those lost moments, which is actually quite funny.

The clip itself is very short, but it features Venom raging at a car alarm that just won’t shut off. A random kid watches Venom take out his frustration on the car itself.  Venom star Tom Hardy has previously stated that several of his favorite scenes were cut from the final movie. Perhaps this was one of those moments that he wanted to keep in the film.

Venom re-imagined the origin of Eddie Brock, one of Spider-Man’s greatest enemies. In Sony’s Marvel universe, the Venom symbiote was never bonded to Spider-Man. Consequently, Eddie and Venom are anti-heroes in this retelling. Venom crawled away with over 800 million from the global box office. Sony is hoping that Venom‘s success will lead to its own version of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The next Sony Marvel project will be an adaptation of Morbius: The Living Vampire starring Jared Leto. However, it remains to be seen if any of Sony’s other Marvel properties can replicate Venom‘s success.

Sony will release Venom on a 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack, a Blu-ray Combo Pack, and on DVD on December 18.
