Avengers: Endgame didn’t become one of the biggest films of all-time without a sustained publicity push. In fact, the push continues as the movie closes in on Avatar‘s worldwide record. By now, the various MCU actors have to have given countless interviews, so they deserve some time to enjoy themselves. Perhaps that’s why four of the stars were invited to be guests for a special event.
Via Marvel’s YouTube channel, Anthony Mackie, Letitia Wright, Sebastian Stan, and Benedict Cumberbatch took part in an Avengers: Endgame inspired escape room. The actors had to figure out how to get out while Endgame co-director Joe Russo occasionally fed them clues from another room.
“Odds are they don’t get out in time,” teased Russo in the video.

If the early part of the video is any indication, Russo had to specifically tell the stars to “find the stones.” In this case, the Infinity Stones were represented by cards that had to be assembled in order. Aside from Mackie and Stan, the majority of the group didn’t have much screen time with each other. Regardless, they appeared to band together fairly quickly while resisting the urge to go their own way.
In true Hollywood fashion, the fate of the MCU performers came down to the wire. It’s such a photo finish that it almost makes the entire video seem staged. Either way, the cast looks like they had fun.
