The Next Kingsman Film Gets a New Title: The King’s Man

Director Matthew Vaughn had been hard at work on a new Kingsman project for some time now. Now, both 20th Century Fox and Walt Disney Studios have finally confirmed its title – The King’s Man.

The official Kingsman Twitter account announced the name of the upcoming film, along with revealing its logo and release date. “Next year, we go back to where it all began,” the tweet notes. “Meet The King’s Man, in theaters February 2020.” You can see the official logo below.

The studios also provided an official synopsis for the film, although it didn’t confirm any official cast members.

“As a collection of history’s worst tyrants and criminal masterminds gather to plot a war to wipe out millions, one man must race against time to stop them. Discover the origins of the very first independent intelligence agency in The King’s Man, directed by Matthew Vaughn, coming to theaters February 2020.”

A previous report indicated that the origin story may take place during World War I. Kingsman co-star Taron Egerton also noted that he wouldn’t be returning for the franchise’s origin story.

“I was with Matthew [Vaughn] as little as a few days ago, we’re still very much in business together, but his next journey in that world doesn’t involve me,” said Egerton.
