Iron Man and Thor Films Coming to 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray

Earlier this week, Marvel fans got the details about Avengers: Endgame‘s upcoming home video release on August 13. But that’s not the only movie that will get the 4K treatment on that date. A few Marvel classics are also set to return, looking better than ever before.

Marvel has launched pre-orders for five movies in the 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray format. The lineup includes Iron Man, Iron Man 2, and Iron Man 3, as well as Thor,and Thor: The Dark World. All five movies will hit on August 13.

Though full specs for the films remain unrevealed so far, the sets will feature remastered visuals to take advantage of the 4K video format. The sets will also include an original Blu-ray disc, as well as a redeemable digital copy of the film for on-the-go play.

Additionally, Best Buy will offer exclusive Steelbook cases versions of the film. They feature the original artwork from their posters, as you can see in the gallery below. Extras from the original Blu-ray releases will likely carry over to these sets, on the original discs. There probably won’t be any extras on the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray discs, which is standard for the format.

Pre-order links can be found below. The 4K editions should be on sale for $29.99, but the Steelbook editions are a little higher at $34.99.This is typical for Marvel releases at Best Buy, as past releases like Captain America: Civil War and The Winter Soldier have shown.
