Although Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opened in Disneyland earlier this summer, not everything was set to go. However, Disney has confirmed that one of its long-awaited attractions will finally open very soon.
Via The Hollywood Reporter, Disney Parks will open Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Walt Disney World Resort on December 5. It will also debut at Disneyland’s Galaxy’s Edge in Anaheim over a month later, on January 17, 2020. At the moment, Galaxy’s Edge only has one ride, which takes visitors on a trip inside the Millennium Falcon.
When it opens, Rise of the Resistance will put visitors inside a much larger craft – a Star Destroyer. It will feature stars from the new series of films, including John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, and Adam Driver in their respective roles.

The Rise of the Resistance ride also promises to be much longer in length than the Millennium Falcon attraction. However, Disney Parks did not provide an exact length.
Galaxy’s Edge has been open in Disneyland since late May, and in high demand with fans. Disney has even had to start a virtual queue to keep things in order. Walt Disney World’s version of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will open on August 29.
