Tonight, the final chapter of the Skywalker Saga will hit theaters. Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill, is currently celebrating the arrival of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker by sharing an ode to George Lucas.
In a post on Twitter, Hamill gave a special shout out to Lucas for creating the Star Wars franchise back in 1977s. Hamill also included photos with Lucas from over the years. These include a look back on the set of Star Wars: A New Hope and a more recent one from the opening of Galaxy’s Edge.
As #TheRiseOfSykwalker arrives in theaters, let’s not forget that it all started in the imagination of just 1 man: GEORGE LUCAS. He alone created that galaxy far, far away that has inspired generations. Then, he let me be a part of it & changed my life forever…#ALifetimeOfLuke pic.twitter.com/0HPUUrInUj

Hamill didn’t forget about the fans either. In another Twitter post from earlier this week, Hamill paid loving tribute to those that enjoyed Star Wars over the years, complete with photos.
As the end is just around the corner, I’m thinking of the most important element in the #StarWars experience: the Fans. Their passion, support & unwavering loyalty over the years is astonishing. Thank you #UPFs– You mean the world to me. I salute each & every one of you! Mar pic.twitter.com/7b9GZ7k8LN
