Black Canary and Huntress Shine in New Birds of Prey Clips

Birds of Prey’s theatrical release is only a few days away. However, Warner Bros. is still rolling out new previews for anyone who can’t wait. Two new clips from the movie have made their way online. And while most of the marketing campaign has focused on Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, her character takes more of a backseat in the latest videos.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead paid a visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote Birds of Prey and discuss her role as Helena Bertinelli/Huntress. She also brought a clip showcasing the film’s titular heroines gearing up for a fight. And if you thought Harley was the most volatile member of the team, you might have to reconsider. You can check out Winstead’s interview with Fallon below. The clip starts at around the 4:12 mark.

Additionally, WB has premiered yet another clip where Jurnee Smollett-Bell’s Dinah Lance/Black Canary takes center stage…literally. This scene appears to be the one that introduces moviegoers to Smollett-Bell’s character, as evidenced by Harley’s narration. Before joining the crusade against Roman Sionis, Dinah works as a singer in the villain’s club. It also looks like this will be moviegoers’ first taste of her infamous Canary Cry. As she wraps up a soulful rendition of James Brown’s “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World,” she hits a note high enough to shatter a martini glass. Listen for yourself via Twitter below.

Birds of Prey opens in theaters this Friday, February 7.
