Wonder Woman 1984 CCXP Trailer Sells the Emotions

Warner Bros. promised they’d have something new to show Wonder Woman fans at CCXP 2020 in Brazil, and here it is. This new Wonder Woman 1984 CCXP trailer follows up on the first wave of press reactions, which near-universally praised the movies emotions and sense of hope. With soaring score, romantic scenes with Steve Trevor, and narration selling the notion of Diana as a chosen one, it leans into its emotions.

Plus there’s also really cool stuff with Diana lassoing a plane and flying through the air. As seen above, it vaguely resembles Alex Ross artwork. Watch the full trailer in the player below:

What we don’t see much of, yet, is villain Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal). His character seems poised to be the biggest surprise once fans finally see the movie. Barbara Minerva looks to get in some decent action even before she goes full Cheetah, and it appears that, yes, all the world really is waiting for Wonder Woman. And the power she possesses.

Wonder Woman 1984 will debut on HBO Max in the U.S. on Christmas Day, as well as in any major theaters that remain open. Globally, the rollout will  start sooner and end later.
