Technically, the 40th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back was last May. But who’s going to argue with seeing new footage from the first Star Wars sequel? Earlier today, Good Morning America debuted previously unseen bloopers and behind-the-scenes footage from The Empire Strikes Back. It also includes clips of Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and the late Carrie Fisher.

Additionally, Anthony Daniels shares his initial response to C-3PO’s fate in the film. Billy Dee Williams also weighs in on the undeniable charm of Lando Calrissian. The creator of Star Wars, George Lucas, also shares his memories of the production. That includes the time that the production had to shoot very close to the hotel because of an intense snowstorm. According to Lucas, those early setbacks threatened the financial health of the film. Regardless, it went on to become a sci-fi classic.
