Peacemaker Series Will Premiere on HBO Max In January 2022

This August, The Suicide Squad will formally introduce viewers to John Cena’s Peacemaker before his spinoff series on HBO Max. Cena is currently filming the series for writer and executive producer James Gunn. However, it looks like fans will have to wait nearly a year for the Peacemaker series to premiere.

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, HBO Max CCO Casey Bloys casually dropped the January 2022 premiere month for Peacemaker.

“I just started to get involved with the DC content in August [2020],” said Bloys. “Peacemaker is one of the first shows I greenlit and one of the first shows coming out, in January 2022. It’s a great example of what HBO Max can do with DC content in that we’re producing at a level we haven’t seen DC content on TV do thus far.”
