Gal Gadot Thanks Zack Snyder for Casting Her as Wonder Woman

It seems that director Zack Snyder’s fan club can count Gal Gadot in. The actress has always been vocal about her support for Snyder, who chose her as the Amazonian princess in 2016’s Batman v Superman. While the actress didn’t shoot any new scenes for the upcoming Zack Snyder’s Justice League, the relationship between the two has always been more than positive. Recently, the actress took to her socials to reveal that she was about to give up acting before landing the role of Diana Prince. Her words add more context to an image first revealed in yesterday’s Vanity Fair.

“This photo was taken by Zack Snyder on the day I did the camera test for Batman vs Superman with Ben,” she wrote. “I came to LA for 30 hours while shooting a movie in Tel Aviv. But I wanted the role of Wonder Woman so much that it was worth the trip. I’ll forever be grateful to Zack for casting me and believing that I could bring Diana to life. I had no idea what the future would hold back when this picture was taken – seeing it makes me very nostalgic. It’s also proof that everything happens for a reason. I was on the verge of giving up acting… and then this happened.”

Snyder has always praised the work done by Gadot as the Amazonian warrior all these years. After donning Diana Prince’s boots for the first time in 2016, Gadot resumed her role in the standalone Wonder Woman movie, 2017’s Justice League, and Wonder Woman 1984. She will also portray the character in the restored Zack Snyder cut of Justice League and a third Wonder Woman solo film.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League will premiere as a four-hour cut movie on HBO Max on March 18.
