It’s been over a year since Paramount’s Snake Eyes spinoff wrapped principal photography. But thanks to the ongoing pandemic, the movie is still several months away, and now the cast and crew are looking to fine-tune a few scenes before its world premiere this fall. The film’s star, Henry Golding, has confirmed that the highly-anticipated G.I. Joe reboot is currently in the midst of reshoots.
Golding announced the news in a set of Instagram posts earlier this week. He didn’t mention which other cast members were involved in the reshoots as well. However, he assured fans that all safety protocols are being followed and that COVID testing is happening on a daily basis. You can listen to his full statement below.

Snake Eyes originally began filming in Vancouver in late 2019 before moving over to Japan the following January. Paramount was initially planning to debut the film at the end of 2020. But once the virus started forcing movie theaters to close, the studio delayed its release by a full year. Golding is headlining the film as Snake Eyes. The cast also includes Andrew Koji as Storm Shadow, Samara Weaving as Scarlett, Iko Uwais as Hard Master, and Úrsula Corberó as Baroness.
Robert Schwentke is directing Snake Eyes from a script written by Evan Spiliotopoulos. If the movie does well, it will launch a new shared universe of G.I. Joe spinoffs.
Snake Eyes hits theaters on October 22.
