Thanks to the pandemic, Venom: Let There Be Carnage has already had a few different release dates. Now, it has at least one more. Via Variety, Sony Pictures has moved Venom: Let There Be Carnage from June 25 to September 17.
The biggest reason for the change is the uncertainty that remains about when theaters will be back to full strength. Movie theaters in New York and California have finally opened up after a year. However, they remain at limited capacity for now.
Tom Hardy will reprise his role as Eddie Brock/Venom from the first movie. Additionally, Woody Harrelson will co-star as Cletus Kasady/Carnage. Harrelson’s character made his debut in a mid-credits scene in Venom. It’s unclear how Cletus will be bonded with his symbiote in the movie. Presumably we’ll learn more when a trailer arrives.

Michelle Williams will also be back as Anne Weying, Eddie’s ex-girlfriend. Even Carnage’s girlfriend, Shriek, is in this movie, as played by Naomie Harris. Stephen Graham and Sean Delaney will also have roles in the movie.
