Wayne T. Carr Reveals Green Lantern Snyder Cut Behind-the-Scenes Pic

Actor Wayne T. Carr has a reputation as an acclaimed Shakespearean actor. But until about a week and a half ago, he was a relative unknown in pop-culture spheres. That is, until Zack Snyder revealed that he shot footage of the actor as Green Lantern for the HBO Max release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Carr stealthily joined Twitter about a week and a half before word got out, with a single Tweet advocating #RestoreTheSnyderVerse. Today, he lit it up with a behind-the-scenes image of his brief shoot as John Stewart.

Achieved with a greenscreen in Zack Snyder’s driveway, it doesn’t reveal any GL costume, which would have been added in post. But it does offer a sense of Carr’s physicality. Take a look below:

The Green Lantern scene would have become the final one in the movie, which now features Martian Manhunter instead. Though Warner Bros. allowed Snyder to mostly do what he wanted with his cut, since it’s officially non-canon anyway, they vetoed Green Lantern. Presumably they thought it would create too much of a conflict with the Green Lantern HBO Max series already in development. Though the show looks to feature Guy Gardner as the main character, Stewart should show up. And at this point, it won’t likely be Carr.

UPDATE: Zack Snyder added his own image for context.

What do you think of Carr’s look in the image? Let us know in comments.
