Mythical Beasts Fly High in the Latest Shang-Chi TV Spot

With only 10 days left to go until Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings hits theaters, Marvel is getting ready to welcome the master of kung fu into its stable of superhumans. That’s why the latest TV spot for the film honors all the heroes who set the stage for his arrival. But more importantly, it offers a glimpse into a strange new corner of the MCU. The preview prominently features narration from Michelle Yeoh’s Jiang Nan, Shang-Chi’s aunt and one of the guardians of the mystical land of Ta Lo. Although Shang has spent many years running from his past, Jiang Nan reminds him that he comes from a long line of warriors, and he already possesses everything he needs to embrace his destiny and face the challenges ahead.

Ta Lo seems to be where a lot of the film’s action will take place. There is also a glimpse of the highly-anticipated assortment of martial artistry. But beyond this, moviegoers will also encounter a whole menagerie of otherworldly creatures, including birds with flaming wings and foxes with multiple tails. Clearly, Marvel aims to dazzle audiences with the region’s striking vistas. And based on what we’ve seen so far, it looks like Marvel managed to pull this off.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings opens on September 3.
