James Wan Shares First Look at Ocean Master in Aquaman Sequel

Slowly but surely, production is ongoing on Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The upcoming Aquaman sequel will feature plenty of familiar faces from the first installment, including the return of Patrick Wilson’s Orm Marius. The Atlantean half-brother of the titular hero featured as the main villain in 2018’s blockbuster, and it seems that fans will see more from him in the forthcoming movie. Recently, director James Wan took to his socials to share a closer look at Ocean Master. In the photos, actor Wilson is half-naked on a desert beach together with Wan. He sports a long beard and wears some shabby pants.

“I found this guy stranded on a desert beach, doing his Cast Away impression,” Wan joked in the description. You can check the first look at Ocean Master in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom here below.

2018’s Aquaman focused on the brotherly clash between Arthur Curry and Orm. They both share the same mother, Atlanna, and a right to rule over the underwater kingdom of Atlantis. After plenty of deadly adventures and dangerous tasks, Arthur claimed the trident of Atlan and faces his brother, who did whatever it took to prevent Aquaman from succeeding. Ultimately, Orm’s followers acknowledged Arthur as the true king, and Ocean Master was imprisoned. But it appears that his hatred for his half-brother might not be over.

According to the current plans, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom hits theaters on Dec. 16, 2022.
