It’s nearly time to enter The Matrix again. In a matter of hours, Warner Bros. will debut the first trailer for the upcoming The Matrix Resurrections movie. The announcement came on the producers’ YouTube channel, where they released a video featuring a red pill and a blue one, clearly referring to the choice Morpheus asked Neo to make in the saga’s first installment.
On top of that, a new website is new available if fans check the description. Click on thechoiceisyours.whatisthematrix.com, and see some footage from the upcoming trailer. The website allows fans to pick their pill. If you click on the red one, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II’s voice will guide you to see how deep the rabbit hole goes. On the other hand, the blue pill features Neil Patrick Harris’ voiceover attempting to reassure you of normalcy. Apparently the footage can differ each time a person clicks, with multiple possible combinations.

A few lucky fans already saw the trailer for the movie at Cinemacon. The movie will bring back some of the iconic characters from the original trilogy, including Neo and Trinity. At the same time, the story will also feature a few new faces. However, neither Laurence Fishburne nor Hugo Weaving will reprise their roles as Morpheus and Agent Smith, respectively.
The Matrix Resurrections will debut in theaters and HBO Max on December 22.
