Zack Snyder Talks Cut Justice League Scene That Had DCEU Green Lantern

While taking part in a SnyderCon Q&A, Zack Snyder gave an update about a deleted Justice League scene that featured the DCEU Green Lantern.

Will the Justice League deleted scene with the DCEU Green Lantern in it ever be released?

When asked by a fan if the deleted scene would ever be made available to fans, Snyder hesitantly confirmed that it’s unlikely, but praised Wayne T. Carr’s performance in the scene as John Stewart/Green Lantern.

“Would I ever be able to … I don’t have it right now. It was a … property was returned,” Snyder clarified. “It does exist … I would have to say, look … Wayne did an amazing job in the little scene, and I really love him, and it was nice of him to come over to the house and shoot it with me. He’s an amazing actor [and] yeah, he’s a cool guy. As far as seeing it, I don’t know when that will ever happen. But you know, never say never.”

Zack Snyder’s Justice League released in 2021 and served as a director’s cut of the 2017 Justice League movie since Joss Whedon replaced Snyder as director during the original’s post-production. The epilogue of the 2021 film showed Batman and his unlikely allies in the “Knightmare” future that was teased since Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice — a potential future in which Superman became a totalitarian ruler.
