The Marvels Brie Larson Goose

The Marvels Helps Shelter Cats With Live Flerken Feed

The Marvels is coming soon to theaters, promising not only cosmic action but some adorable feline co-stars. For fans who would like a Flerken of their own or just want to watch them in action, Marvel Studios has partnered with a cat cafe for a Fun With Flerkens feed, airing now.

Live from the CatCafe Lounge in Los Angeles, Fun With Flerkens lets its furry stars wander freely, playing with The Marvels-themed toys and participating in periodic unboxings, while The Marvels trivia pops up on the screen. As fans of Captain Marvel know, there’s no easy way to distinguish an ordinary cat from a Flerken unless it uses its impressive powers, so nobody can prove that the cats they’re watching aren’t actually Flerkens. Either way, all of them are available to be adopted into loving homes.

Since the first film in the series, 2019’s Captain Marvel, introduced the Flerken species to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the cat-shaped alien has become a beloved trademark. The orange tabby Goose, who saved the day a few times but also scratched out Nick Fury’s eye, is returning in The Marvels and will also get some company of his own kind.

What is The Marvels about (aside from Flerkens)?

In the upcoming film, Brie Larson‘s Carol Danvers leads a new team which will come to be known as The Marvels, including Iman Vellani‘s Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel and Teyonah Parris‘ Monica Rambeau/Photon. The movie serves as a sequel not only to Captain Marvel, but also to Ms. Marvel, the 2022 miniseries starring Vellani. The character of Monica, meanwhile, was introduced as a child in Captain Marvel. Parris took up the mantle as an older Monica in the 2021 miniseries WandaVision, starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany.

Nia DaCosta directs The Marvels from a script she co-wrote with Megan McDonnell and Elissa Karasik. In addition to the main trio, the film’s cast includes many new and returning MCU stars — such as Zawe Ashton as Dar-Benn, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Park Seo-joon, Lashana Lynch, Randall Park, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, and Saagar Shaikh.

The Marvels hits United States theaters on November 10, 2023. Tickets are available now.
