Godzilla x Kong, Fallout, House of the Dragon and More Drop New Trailers

New trailers for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, Fallout, House of the Dragon Season 2, and more have been released.

A number of new trailers for upcoming movies and television shows debuted this past weekend out of CCXP 2023 in Brazil. Along with the aforementioned titles, trailers for Halo Season 2 and George Miller’s Furiosa have also made their way online.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire

“The epic battle continues! Legendary Pictures’ cinematic Monsterverse follows up the explosive showdown of Godzilla vs. Kong with an all-new adventure that pits the almighty Kong and the fearsome Godzilla against a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world, challenging their very existence—and our own,” the synopsis reads. “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire delves further into the histories of these Titans and their origins, as well as the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond, while uncovering the mythic battle that helped forge these extraordinary beings and tied them to humankind forever.”

Directed by Adam Winged, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire stars Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Dan Stevens, Kaylee Hottle, Alex Ferns, and Fala Chen. The movie releases in United States theaters on April 12, 2024, from Warner Bros. Pictures.

Fallout

“Based on one of the greatest video game series of all time, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have,” the synopsis reads. “200 years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind — and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them.”

Developed by Westworld’s Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, Fallout stars Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, and Aaron Moten. The series premieres on April 12, 2024, on Prime Video.

House of the Dragon Season 2

The new trailer for House of the Dragon Season 2 previews a bloody war building in Westeros. The first season, which premiered in August 2022 and serves as a prequel to Game of Thrones, ended with the Targaryens divided about whether Prince Aegon or Princess Rhaenyra should take the Iron Throne following the death of King Viserys.

House of the Dragon stars Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Rhys Ifans, and Steve Toussaint. The new season begins in the summer of 2024.

Halo

“Master Chief John-117 leads his team of elite Spartans against the alien threat known as the Covenant,” the synopsis reads. “As humanity’s best hope for winning the war, John-117 discovers his deep connection to a mysterious alien structure that holds the key to humankind’s salvation, or its destruction — the Halo.”

The second season of Halo begins on February 8, 2024, on Paramount+.

Furiosa

“As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus,” the synopsis reads. “Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe.  While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.”

Starring Anya-Taylor Joy, Chris Hemsworth, Alyla Browne, and Tom Burke, Furiosa serves as a prequel to 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road. With George Miller once again returning to direct, the movie releases in the United States on May 24, 2024.
