Ryan Reynolds has revealed that Deadpool 3 has finally wrapped filming after facing delays due to last year’s entertainment industry strikes.
On Twitter, Reynolds announced that shooting was complete for Deadpool 3 as of January 24. The post features a picture of the Marvel antihero’s pelvis and blood-spattered belt, alongside a lengthy caption.
“The suit hides the blood,” reads the tweet. “Also sweat… But today, with Deadpool wrapping, it’s mostly tears. A giant and forever thanks to the cast and crew of our film who battled wind, rain, strikes and @RealHughJackman … all under the stalwart leadership of @ShawnLevyDirect. I got to make a movie with my closest pals and that doesn’t happen very often. See ya July 26th… “

A comedic Instagram post from Dogpool also confirmed that the canine star had wrapped its scenes alongside a picture of Dogpool seemingly sleeping.
The movie is directed by Free Guy’s Shawn Levy, who also worked on the script with Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells. Levy, Reynolds, and Kevin Feige all serve as producers.
Who stars in Deadpool 3?
Along with Reynolds, the movie stars Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Stefan Kapičić as Colossus, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, and Rob Delaney as Peter.
Emma Corrin and Succession’s Matthew Macfadyen have also been cast in the movie in undisclosed roles, while there’s additionally been many online rumors suggesting that actors such as Taylor Swift as Dazzler and Channing Tatum as Gambit may be in the film. Marvel has not confirmed these casting announcements at this time.
Deadpool 3 releases in United States theaters on July 26, 2024, from Marvel Studios as part of Phase Five of the MCU.
