Deadpool 3’s Hugh Jackman Shares Statement as MCU Movie Wraps Production: ‘Time to Shave’

Hugh Jackman has shared a statement regarding the recently wrapped production of Deadpool 3.

On January 24, 2024, Ryan Reynolds announced on Twitter that Marvel Studios’ Deadpool 3 had finished filming.

Jackman, who will reprise his role as Wolverine in the upcoming MCU movie, shared an Instagram post commenting on the wrapped production. His caption reads, “What a ride! I’ve loved every minute of making this movie. Well … not the 4a training or the steamed fish and veg 4 x a day for 6 months but the other 93.2%. A collective thank you to the entire cast and crew. You are all aces! If you’re reading this and think I mean you, I do. To two of my best mates [Reynolds] and [Shawn Levy]. I literally couldn’t have done this without you. LITERALLY! July 26th can’t come soon enough. Time to shave.”

Reynolds’ post, meanwhile, reads, “The suit hides the blood. Also sweat… But today, with Deadpool wrapping, it’s mostly tears. A giant and forever thanks to the cast and crew of our film who battled wind, rain, strikes and [Jackman]… all under the stalwart leadership of [Levy]. I got to make a movie with my closest pals and that doesn’t happen very often. See ya July 26th.”

In a quote tweet to Reynolds’ post, Levy, who directs the movie, said, “Had the greatest time of my life shooting this movie. Post production starts at dawn.”

Who else stars in Deadpool 3?

Despite many online rumors, official plot details for Deadpool 3 remain under wraps at this time. Along with Jackman and Reynolds, the movie stars Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Stefan Kapičić as Colossus, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, and Rob Delaney as Peter.

Succession’s Matthew Macfadyen and Emma Corrin are also playing undisclosed roles in the movie.

Deadpool 3 releases on July 26, 2024, from Marvel Studios.
